We built this for everybody who'd rather not get on the phone with a contractor. I get it. Now you don't have to.

How It Works

GHR Egress Windows quote form asking if the basement is finished, the year the house was built, and foundation height
The whole quote. Three questions, photos optional.
  1. Answer three questions. Is your basement finished, about what year was your house built, and how tall is your foundation.
  2. Add photos if you want. One inside, one outside. Stand back so the whole wall is in the shot and show where the window would go.
  3. Get your price within 24 hours. By text or email. Ask whatever you want the same way.
  4. $200 holds your spot. We get you on the schedule, usually three to eight weeks out.
  5. Install day. The guys handle the dig, the cut, the window, the well, the drainage, and the cleanup. Most jobs are done in a single day, and the balance is due when we finish.

Why We Can Price It From Three Questions

Egress windows are all we do. More than 600 since 2009, about 100 a year. And everybody gets the same price. We don't negotiate, and we don't pad the number to leave room for it.

Because the price never depends on a conversation, we don't need a visit to build it. We just need to know which version of the job your house is.

What Each Question Tells Us

Finished or unfinished basement. Finished means interior work like cutting and patching drywall and protecting your floors.

About what year it was built. This one is all about drainage. Older homes are more likely to have no drain tile, which changes how we handle drainage for the well.

How tall your foundation is. A taller foundation means a deeper dig and a taller well.

A taller well, a deeper dig, or a different drainage setup are what change the price. That's why we ask.

A Homeowner Who Booked Without a Single Call

The week we launched the form, a homeowner texted me. They were shopping around for the best price and noticed our site says one price for everyone, but no number was listed. I sent them the form. They filled it out, I sent the price right back, and a few hours later they'd paid the deposit and were on the schedule.

"Just submitted the deposit. I'll review the contract later today. I appreciate how easy you've made this process!"

No phone call. Not once.

Why the Price Isn't Posted Here

One number wouldn't fit every house. Foundation height, drainage, and whether the basement is finished all matter, and our Illinois and Missouri pricing is different because the install is different on each side of the river. The form gets you the actual price for your house, the same one your neighbor with the same basement would get.
